Stuffed animals made from articles of clothing can be done to create a memory or keepsake animal from outgrown baby clothing, to remember a departed loved one, to find a new use for a loved but outdated clothing item, to repurpose/ extend the life of a cherished security blanket, or to just simply use a discarded garment because the fabric is interesting.

I started making memory bears back in 2012. I made one for a friend of mine who lost her husband. I created a pattern after that and began to sell it on Etsy. Many people asked me to make them for them after that I began selling to Bears as well. In 2017 I began to sell a Memory Pillows. I created a pattern for that as well. I absolutely love what I do because it brings joy to people.
